Children are encouraged to use their imaginations and create a magical garden in their minds. It is a wonderful tool for emotional well being, as well as being a powerful tool for teachers wishing to generate children’s ideas for creative story writing. The emphasis is also very much on helping children to experience reading as a pleasurable, emotional activity, which they will want to repeat on a regular basis.

We will be leaving St Cuthbert’s at 1.15 pm and will be back at St Cuthbert’s before 3.20 pm. Please make sure your child brings their PE kit and a drink. We also need parents to walk to and from The Blue School please speak to your child's class teacher if you are able to help.
To continue the success of the WCLP Sports Festivals this year will see some of The Blue School Yr13 activity leaders filmed during their activity/leadership session. This will carried out in order to evaluate the quality of the students’ sessions and leadership to ensure that every student visiting The Blue School and its sports festivals is given the most memorable experience. It will also have added benefits for the sixth form students themselves as they will be able to use the footage as evidence for a vital assignment that must be completed as part of their Level 3 BTEC Sport Diploma
The footage will be stored on The Blue School system accessed only by Head of Sport, and their internal verifier and possible an external verifier should any students be called by the exam board.
If you do not wish your child to be filmed please speak to your child’s class teacher.
